RFU's development project
St Matthew's have been involved with the RFU's development project to try and get more schools and pupils playing rugby. As part of this St Matthew's have attended emerging schools competitions at Year 7 and 8 and have performed very well. We have also being part of the National Canterbury kit design project where a group of pupils got to design a St Matthew's school rugby kit that has then made into an actual kit.
Before the England v Italy RBS 6 Nations match on Sunday 26th Feb Max Breslin from Year 8 went to Twickenham to represent St Matthew's at the shirt unveiling ceremony. He was on the pitch before the game started wearing our kit signing the National anthem and got to meet Billy Vunipola.
